Founded in 2017, the Inspire Film Festival (IFF) is a 5-day cinematic experience in The Woodlands, Texas, a wooded oasis of modern living tucked just outside the urban center of Houston. Recognized as one of the top master planned communities in the nation, The Woodlands is a beautiful location for this unique, walkable event that brings people together to inspire audiences and celebrate the incredible human spirit.

After being incredibly moved by a documentary film at a festival in Colorado, Jane Minarovic found herself walking around her hometown of The Woodlands envisioning the idea of a film festival. Jane moved forward with her dream and pulled community leaders together to create the Inspire Film Festival with the motto Come as you are. Leave Different.

The Festival begins with an outdoor screening of short films at Waterway Square, followed by a lively VIP party. Nearly a dozen local high school students serving as film ambassadors debut their one-of-a-kind, film-inspired dresses at a highly anticipated fashion show during the VIP party. The festival officially begins the next day with an educational screening for area students during the day and the first film in the evening.

Each film is carefully picked for its ability to tell a grand story about people making a difference in the world. By bringing some of the world’s best documentary films, filmmakers, and guests to The Woodlands, Jane hopes to inspire the community to get involved with important causes in our community and around the world to make a difference.

The Inspire Film Festival is a 501c(3) organization made possible by the generous support of The Woodlands community.
